A bowl full of artichokes

The artichokes have come along in the garden quite well this season, and I am the first to admit that I did leave a few of them growing longer than I should have for them to be in their prime. Mr Rough Cooking and I harvested the lot and we have preserved them in a giant jar for use in risotto, on pizzas and in salads.
We used this recipe here and so far have been pretty happy with the results. If you have a garden bed full of artichokes - give it a go!
