Apple Crumble
May 13th 2009 18:35
A while ago I made apple and rhubarb sponge pudding. When I did so, there was a request for a crumble recipe.
This is such a winter warming recipe and it bubbles away so beautifully. I served it with some natural yoghurt which cut through the rich caramel of the crumble. For those with a sweet tooth, serve with cream.
I defrosted some stewed apple to use in this recipe.
Crumble
1/2 cup self-raising flour
1/4 cup plain flour
1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
100g cold butter, chopped
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Place all ingredients together in a food processor and mix until combined.
Put stewed apples into the bottom of a baking dish, spread crumble mixture over the top. Bake in a 180 degree oven for 25 minutes.

I can make it.
I'd almost forgotten.
I learnt how to make it hiding behind my mother's apron.
She never even knew I was there.
Yours stacks up.
