Cheesecake fail response
September 22nd 2011 10:51
I have had a response from the Donna Hay people!
It seems the 'plain sweet biscuits' they put in their ingredients list actually refers to plain shortbread biscuits. These obviously have a much denser crumb, which therefore does not produce as much volume.
They have changed the recipe online, but if you are using the physical magazine then make a note.
As to my spring form pan, the conclusion there is that it may have become warped - certainly a possibility given the length of time and the amount of work it has had.
So, although I have had a fail, I will give it another shot, with shortbread biscuits (which will be delicious as a biscuit base).
