Garden update
October 23rd 2011 10:39
It's been a while since I have shown you guys what is happening in the garden - especially veggie-patch-wise - and today we added some new mini-terraces to give us a bit more space.
You see, when we began working on the veggie patches, we put in two large areas near one of our apricot trees. These days though, one of them is a perpetual potato patch, and the other one looks like this:
I think it is fair to say we have let the raspberry plants go a little wild... but I'm reluctant to rein them in because I just keep thinking of all the beautiful, sweet fruit we are going to get off them in a couple of months. The challenge of course will be trying to actually get in there to pick the fruit!
Elsewhere, the strawberry patch is also doing very well...
the chickens are doing their thing... though disappointingly, are still not laying eggs...
the artichokes are coming along nicely...
and even though you can't eat them - my clematis are looking stunning
how's your garden growing?
