Grilled chocolate figs
April 24th 2011 02:33
After the success of the grilled figs with honey and almonds, and with my mouth salivating over different combinations for more figgy desserts, I decided to try one with a combination of honey and chocolate.
Similar to last time, I cut a cross in the top of the figs, then pressed in the bottom of them to form a flower shape which I could fill with honey. I chopped up some cooking chocolate and sprinkled it into the figs, along with a small handful of chopped peanuts. Then, as before, I put the whole lot under a medium heat grill for about 10 minutes.
When you do this one, just be careful the chocolate isn’t sitting up too close to the grill. You want to make sure it melts, not burns.
Pretty tasty!
