Hot Toddy

It's that time of year when the evenings are chilly and inevitably the common cold will cramp your style for a few days. I'm now over the runny nose, stuck on the couch part of the cold, but I do still have a lingering tickle in my throat which can be just as bad in my opinion - you're well enough to go to work, but not 100 per cent better.
I wouldn't recommend you try this one at breakfast, but when it's getting a little cold, and you have curled up on the couch for the evening it's the perfect thing.
Hot Toddy
1/4 cup whisky
1 cinnamon stick
1 piece of lemon rind
1 whole clove
boiling water
Place whisky, cinnamon, lemon and clove into a glass. Pour boiling water over the top. Take in all the aromas and drink.
The smell is by far my favourite part of this drink, although that's not to say that the taste isn't fantastic. Try it next time you're reaching for a cup of tea or a hot chocolate in the evening.
