JK's beef plum slow cooker

Beef plum slow cooker stew

I made Jason's beef plum slow cooked stew the other night.

Instead of using plum jam and worchestershire I used some Beerenberg Asian Plum marinade instead, and I was a little disappointed in the taste. It didn't have that real sweetness and strong flavour that I was hoping for - it was dominated instead by the taste of the stock.

However, it smelled wonderful, and it was great to have something ready when I came home at night. I'll have to purchase some plum jam and give it another go!

It looks great Helen - shame about the maranade. I think it would taste awesome with asian greens, limited or no stock and the maranade.
The jam is a lot of sugar - so there's the lack of sweetness - hope it tastes better next time
Thanks for the plug also
