Lemonade Scones
October 27th 2008 02:24
These are the easiest, tasty little things I have made in a long time. Took me all of 15 minutes the other day just before I went out, so they were still warm when they were pulled out of their basket for afternoon tea.
Lemonade Scones
4 cups SR flour
375ml lemonade
300ml cream
Preheat oven to 220 degrees C.
Mix ingredients together with a knife until it just comes together in a ball. Pat out only a lightly floured surface to a height of about 2.5cm. Cut into rounds (makes about 20) and place on baking tray. Bake for 10 minutes.
Delicious!
If, as I did, you are after savoury scones, stir through some bacon pieces, grated cheese, chives and a pinch of paprika before adding the wet ingredients.
