The microbrewery is unique in this part of Australia and serves a range of "home brew" style beers. The vats and mashers are actually located behind a glass wall to the side of the dining area, so you can see what you are drinking and where it came from.
We ventured to the eatery for lunch the other day. I ordered an Angus Beef steak sandwich from the specials board and the boy ordered the ploughmans platter (as he is often want to do).
My meal was delicious. Served with caramalized onions and fresh salad, the sandwich was "melt in the mouth" fantastic and the galic mayonaise spread on the cibatta was also good - though a little too garlicy when only one of you is eating it....
By all reports the platter was also good, although the boy did question some of the flavour pairings. For him money the cheese (a cheddar) could have been something with a sharper flavour and the bread roll could have been fresher.
The bierhaus is a great place to go to catch up with friends, enjoy a few drinks and have a nice meal.
