I have succumbed. We went out to the sales and bought a new slow cooker - and it is wonderful. For it's inauguration, we loaded the pot up with ingredients from Jason's Slow Cooker Chicken Curry
I came home in the afternoon, and upon opening the door the warm cooking smells of a slow cooked meal came upon me. There was no burnt sauce, and no charred meat stuck to the bottom.
We'll be using this guy a lot over the next few months!

That is brilliant and I feel honored you christened it with one of my recipes. YAY!!!!!!!
I was suggested an unusual recipe I am going to try (money pending) on Sunday. It's a corned beef cooked in a slow cooker with lemonade - I laughed when it was suggested but they swore I would love it. Keep you posted.

Jason you should feel honoured - if it wasn't for your posts I probably would have put up with our old one, and been disapointed every time it burnt things!

I have just taken mine off the shelf and am prepping it for my experimental lemonade cooked corned beef. I am quite nervous as I need it to work - people for dinner.
I have searched online and can find nothing that says they work together but I there are plenty of recipes with the normal cooking it in water and a few for cooking in guiness and I am thinking it might just work. Fingers crossed - have a great day!
