Real fruit - real flat
March 13th 2009 19:38
These are up home made roll ups. I made them in my dehydrator with the special flat tray they provide.
Basically what I did was stew some apples until they were nice and soft. I didn't even add any sugar for this lot because our apples were beautiful and sweet.
Then I used my stab mixer to turn everything into mush, and then I carefully spread the fruit puree over the try, making sure to keep it an even thickness, and put it in the dehydrator.
The fruit takes about 4 hours to dry out and then you can roll them up and they're ready to eat.
In theory these should last for ages in a sealed container - perfect for an easy snack at home or at work.
