Thai beef salad - a recipe from my orange book with the flowers on it. But... I wasn't that happy with the recipe. You begin by placing the beef fillets into a mix of fish sauce and lime juice, then you grill the beef and throw together all the ingredients for the salad. Pretty standard.
It was the dressing that you make up that I was least impressed with. A mix of fish sauce, lime juice, soy sauce and sweet chilli sauce. It didn't smell right, it didn't taste right, so we used a different (store bought *gasp*) dressing instead.
If you are looking for a good thai beef salad recipe- I'd go with this one or this one.
Such a disappointment after 10 years of storing this recipe that it turns out to be a dud!
