I was a bit of a surprise when the first couple showed up (and not just for the chickens….) We have had them a couple of months now, and weren’t egg-specting to have anything from them until the warmer weather – but hooray! There they were two beautiful brown eggs of the most perfect shape and colour you can imagine.
They are a little smaller than the eggs you buy, but we have faith that as the chickens become a little older, and the weather becomes a little warmer, they will increase in size. But for now, I really do think they are perfect.

They don't need much attention, they give wonderful produce (which tastes fantastic) and if you bring them up right they will eat out of your hand and provide endless entertainment!
You do need a little bit of room though....
