Webbered sweet corn
April 14th 2010 11:01
It's sweet corn season, and while we have 10 ears of corn for sale at my local fruit an veg for $3 I am buying a few, par boiling them and chucking them in the freezer.
One of my favourite ways to cook sweet corn is to leave them in the husk and cook them over indirect heat in the webber. I convinced the boy that we should chuck a roast on a well - after all, it does seem a bit extravagant to light the webber for a couple of corn of the cob!
Cook in the Webber with normal fire, indirect heat for 30-40 minutes with the lid on.
1 corn cob per person
butter
salt and pepper
Turn back the husks of the corn and remove the silk. Return the husk to their normal position and tie the ends together with string. Place them on the barbecue and cook.
Mmmmmmm.

Raw Fish
Barbequed corn is great, especially with the added aroma of a wood fire.
One question though, has the brand name webber become a verb like xeroxing, hoovering and googling?
