Where did all the heat go?

Oh no! My oven has died! The element in the fan forced section just does not get hot, so while we source either a) a new element or b) a new oven I'm going to be a bit restricted on what goes on in the kitchen.
Luckily I have a little toaster oven which can do some of the work, and I think the slow cooker is going to get a pretty tough work out over the next little while!
My main concern this week is the birthday cake I was meant to bake for a friend. I might just have to take the cake baking materials to him and beg his kitchen and oven for an hour or so!

It happened to me a few years back and I went to Audi and bought a portable glass benchtop fan forced oven. I got if for 70 bux and it's huge - you could probably fit a small turkey in there. It also cooks everything in about half the time and bing all glass you can look at everything cook. You can get them from Target and KMart etc.
Don't know if you can afford or want one but they're a great investment.
Good luck!
